Before you ship me anything please go to the "Ordering Page" and print out a copy of the page.  Fill out the information on the form and mail it to me with your order.  Please, if you can ship your rifle without the furniture then do so.  Return shipping includes insurance as outlined on this page.

You can ship right to me and I can ship right back to the address the Rifle came from.  You can use whatever carrier you like but I return all items VIA United States Postal Service Priority Mail.  If I am installing a new barrel or stock, the old barrel or stock must be shipped back separately or specially packaged, add $10.

CMP Special

I offer a package deal for complete restoration on both the M1 Garand and M1 Carbine.  This package is $175 for the Garand and $200 for the Carbine and includes;

Free return shipping (Add $25 West of the Mississippi).  You would send me the whole rifle in choosing this package.

Choice of any 2 of the following options;

Re-park included and not counted as a choice. You have the choice of either zinc or manganese finish.
Cartouche on your wood if desired
Re-crown your barrel if desired (I can usually lower the muzzle erosion by 1 and sometimes 2)
Install your new barrel I will install your new or used barrel.  If the barrel is new, or needs it, this includes finish reaming and head spacing.  When I include rebarreling I do not parkerize your old barrel.

5LB Trigger Job  I will adjust your trigger pull to a 5LB pull weight + or -.

Parkerizing
I include insurance on every order so please see the insurance section on this page.  Please let me know if you would like zinc or manganese on the ordering page (you may only choose one.  I will only use one type of parkerizing per rifle.)  you send me.  If you get your rifle rebarreled the price does not include parkerizing your old barrel.  When rifles are sent with furniture I test fire the rifle TWO rounds.  If you would like more test firing the cost is $1 a round.

For the M1 Garand, all barrels are now removed.  If your barrel is in the white, it will remain in the white.  The inside of the barrel and breech are never parked.

I can install the Garand barrel in .308 (NOT 7.62 NATO) or 30/06.
I only do the Carbine in original configuration/caliber.  I do not install any other rifle barrels.

Trigger Work
I only do trigger work for the M1 Garand.  Most Garands come to me with a total trigger weight of between 6 and 6.5 Lbs.  The final stage of the trigger pull is weighty and long.  I will lengthen the first stage and create a very crisp and short second stage.  The sear on your trigger must be in good condition.  I will lengthen the first stage of your trigger pull and it will end, very noticeably, at a "wall".  This "wall" will break crisp and clean for a much more controllable shot.

All rifles are tech inspected when I park them.  If I find anything that appears out of specifications I will contact the customer before I proceed.  I also lube and test fire all rifles before return unless otherwise advised by the customer.
